Taiwan Summer Sunsets

(A Video – Coastal Sunsets in Taiwan)

Most people in the western hemisphere are bidding farewell to the hot days of summer and welcoming the cool crisp breezes that come with fall. They are trading in their shorts and t-shirts for pants and sweaters and hoodies. Students and teachers are coming to the realization that it is back to classes and to the all familiar reality that it is time to hit the books once again.

That used to be my life way back when – when I lived in Canada. That seems like a lifetime ago – and it nearly is.

Taiwan is still scorching hot these days, with temps still beyond 30 Celsius, as we are about to welcome September. But, that is ok. The days may be hot and getting a little shorter, but the sun still rises and sets.

And speaking of sunsets, I took in my fair share this summer. We escaped the heat of the city and enjoyed some sunsets along the coast. Nothing beats having the wind blowing through your hair and the sea breeze bringing some welcome relief from the heat as the sun descends into the horizon.

So, I thought I would share some photos I took of sunsets this summer as well as a video of footage I compiled.

And if you would like to check out the other two blog posts that I wrote about sunsets way back when I started blogging (which also seems like a lifetime ago), click here and here.

What is your favorite place to watch the sun set?

As always, thanks for reading. I am easing myself back into blogging and the swing of things. I am not sure how consistent I will be, but I miss communicating with you all.

  1. These really are some amazing sunsets in Taiwan, Constance. So beautiful, and so many different colours all around where you now live. Hope you enjoyed your summer. Here in Australia we’re heading into spring, and mid-semester at uni kicked off about a month ago. I definitely missed your blogging, and I’m sure you’ll get back into it or at the very least writing. Sometimes we need to get away from what we love doing to fall in love ever so hard with it again. Good luck with it, and hope all is well with you and your family ❤

  2. I guess you’re not missing Canada? 🙂 🙂 The silhouette of the dragon is beautiful. I used to love a favourite little bar by the riverside in the Algarve- perfect for sunsets, but it closed. Still looking for a new favourite.

  3. Love the sunset pics and video!! Whereas for us, we are soon going to bid adieu to monsoon and have the temperatures soar for the 2nd summer – typically drenching humid heat by Oct/Nov in Mumbai! Quite the change from my snowy days in Winnipeg. 🙂
