Like I said in my previous post, our December 2015 trip to Taipei did not go as plan. Never in a million years did I think I would be pregnant when I booked the accommodations and high speed train tickets. But I was, and even though fatigue and sickness plagued me, I tried to make the best of the entire trip.
We checked out the Christmas displays around Taipei 101 one night and we headed to Banqiao in New Taipei City the next.
The place is known for its massive Christmas tree display outside the government building these years. See, the tree remains the same, but the programmed graphics displayed on the tree and the lighting show gets better each year.
Luckily, there are several ways to get to the area as the MRT [subway], the HSR [high speed rail], and the train all have stops there and then, it is only a short walking distance from the tree display. All you need to do is follow the signs on the floor and enjoy the lights the hang from the ceiling along the way.
[Oh, we opted to take the subway and it was CROWDED.]
The video and pictures included in this post were taken last year, but the display is back this year and from what I have heard, it is different and better.
