His First, My Best – [Canadian] Thanksgiving 2016

Thanksgiving is a time when people stop for a moment, consider all the good in their lives, reflect on their many fortunes, and honor everything valuable that they have.

It is a time when the entire family come together to share a meal and publicly acknowledge their many blessings in life.

For me, Thanksgiving has always been a celebration where I am grateful for everything that is near and dear to me.

Over the years I have been graced with so many blessings in my life, but the number one thing I am most thankful for this year is my son. He is the result of the true love my husband and I have for each other, and the epiphany of true joy and ultimate happiness.

His arrival into the world didn’t go as smoothly as expected and he proved to us from his first moments of life that heย is a true fighter, and because of this, I love him all the more.

I am also thankful for all the hugs and cuddles and smiles and kisses he gives me every day. He gives my life a special purpose. I feel an unconditional love for my baby boy that I have never felt before in my life.

He is the cutest and most adorable baby.ย ย  To me, my baby boy is perfect!

And as I celebrate another Canadian Thanksgiving in Taiwan, I appreciate all the opportunities I have had thus far in life and all the little things that make my life all the more amazing. I am thankful for the people who have made my life so beautiful and for the wonderful things (like good health and happiness) that make my life all the more complete.

And as I enjoy good wine and a good meal on this Thanksgiving day, my son’s first ever, I contemplate the fact I am thankful for all the good in my life not only on Thanksgiving, but each and every day!!

As every day is a blessing!! A gift!! A present!!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to each and every one of you!

  1. Firstly, Happy Thanksgiving. ๐Ÿ™‚ In South Africa, we do not celebrate Thanksgiving, but I do try to celebrate it just to remember how blessed and fortunate I am. I cannot believe how fast he is growing. He is so cute! I can only imagine how much joy he will bring you all in all the years ahead! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Happy Thanksgiving, Constance! Your son looks adorable here, and hope he enjoys his first Thanksgiving. You are right. Every day is a gift, every day is the present. There is no day like today, no hour like this hour and no second like this second right now. Moments pass by so much faster than you realise, and already your son is blossoming into a lovely young boy ๐Ÿ™‚ Take care, and looking forward to hearing more from you ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. clear evidence: mixed couples have wonderful kids… โค ๐Ÿ™‚ may I babysit, please? – for free, of course… ๐Ÿ˜‰

send you my very best: health, joy and lots of love to you all…

  4. Happy (belated) Thanksgiving, Constance. Your son is adorable. Even now, with my daughters having children of their own, I still count them as my greatest blessing. I’m looking forward to American Thanksgiving next month. It’s a wonderful holiday.
