This & That in the Life of an Expat – [Photographing 2015] The Rest of May

Weekly to Monthly

I have fallen behind with sharing the photos taken for my 365 photo project, so far behind that I am doing what I said I wouldn’t do in January. I am going to start grouping the pictures together and start publishing the images according to the month they were taken. I know it is going to be a lot of work to edit and waterwork such a large amount of pictures, but I will try my best.

[Photographing 2015] The Rest of May

The month of May has long since passed and by the looks of these pictures, you can tell it was a month dedicated to lots and lots of book writing. There isn’t a lot of substance in these pictures, not much that screams Taiwan, but I promise that June’s pictures are much more interesting.

So, here we go!

  1. Those Coke bottles are so cool. Love them and I am sure your husband liked them a lot too. I really like how you took the IKEA shot – love the angling, very creative and that shot seems to scream that the place is really big inside 😀 The May 27th flower looks stunning, love the detail in that one and I’d say that is my favourite out of this lot. Well captured all round.

Hope all is well, Constance, and your book is coming along nicely 🙂

  2. Love those lotus ponds in Asia. I really hope to have a pond later in our house as well to have some lotus 🙂
Why you had to post the pictures with the baozi, still three weeks for me until I can have some in China 😦

  3. My favorite is the lotus pond. Lotus is such a beloved Chinese image and a favorite subject for artists. Your photo is especially good with the shadows. Lotus, the pure, clean flower that emerges from the muck all around it.

The frangipani blooms all year long in the Philippines, where it’s called kalachuchi. In Hawaii it’s called plumeria. Lovely to look at, better to smell.
