I call this a special post because it is a special day for me, for my husband.
Today marks two important dates in our lives.
Fourteen years ago, my husband danced into my life and ten years ago, we said ‘I do.’
As always, when I am involved, things never go as planned and our wedding ceremony was one to remember [all for the wrong reasons, of course! My friends always tell me that funny incidents seem to come my way, but my husband just thinks that I have a flair for the dramatic!]
Whatever the case, on this date ten years ago, it was a great day to get married [according to the lunar calendar] and we stood in front of the [female] judge and both said ‘Wo yuan yi’ to seal the deal!!
So, cheers to another ten! Another twenty! Another thirty! Another forty!……
And to my husband….thanks for accepting me for who I am, for being silly with me, for enjoying the fun times, for making me laugh, for sharing heartache [and the chores], for working through the challenges, and most of all, for walking through life with me. My days are brighter and more beautiful because of you, dear husband! Wo ai ni!
[We sat down and wrote a post together, called ‘Keys Factors to a Happy & Healthy Marriage,’ which will be hitting the blog later this week.]
