[Photographing 2015] The Sixteenth Week

I stayed close to home during the sixteenth week of 2015 as I was battling an eye infection for most of the seven days. My health card got good use on Friday as I ended up going to see two doctors – an eye doctor to check to see if my eye was OK and another doctor to get medication for the cold sores covering my eye lid. It is not surprising how inconvenient it is when one eye is swollen and hurts like hell. However, I was lucky to have a great husband who cooked and took care of me.

Most of these photos were taken in my backyard, in my house, around my neighborhood, and at a temple [I needed to get out of the house]. Hope you enjoy!

  1. I hope you are better! I once had “red eye” (conjunctivitis) and it is very annoying!

The flowers in your backyard are beautiful.

  2. That meal that your husband cooked, it looked almost identical to the one I had a couple days ago, in a restaurant! Good job!

I hope you’re feeling better with your eyes now!

  3. I hope your eye is all good now and doesn’t bother you anymore. It must certainly be a pain. Sometimes I get eye infections too – probably because my contact lenses are dirty or I haven’t removed concealer around my eyes too well before I sleep.

When I first saw the meat and rice dish, I thought it was something plated up in a restaurant 😀 It looks good, and I’m sure it tasted good – go props to your husband for being a good chef and taking care of you ❤

My favourite photo would have to be the first one of the green leaves and the water droplets over it. Such clarity in that shot, well done 🙂

    1. I am feeling much better now! I have very sensitive eyes and get eye infections a lot as well – and for whatever reason, it is usually my left eye.

Like I told CL, my husband was very happy when he read all of your comments. Hopefully that means he will cook lots of more great meals with good presentation! 😉 He is really a good cook.

I love photographing things in our backyard. It is so nice to see everything growing and coming alive back there.
